Selecting Multiple Time Slots Simultaneously

Users in SLOT can now select multiple time slots in a single step to change their booking status collectively. The new multiple-selection feature is available to administrators and site staff and replaces the previous method of selecting each time slot individually.

Previously, the booking status had to be changed individually for each time slot. This involved numerous clicks, particularly when dealing with larger time periods. With the new function, a contiguous range can now be selected in a single step, and the desired booking status can be set for all selected time slots simultaneously.

In the schedule, the user first selects a time slot, which is highlighted with a red border. They then hold down the Shift key and select a second time slot. All time slots in between are automatically highlighted with a red border as well. The booking status can then be changed as usual for the entire selection.

Multiple selection works exclusively vertically within the same ramp and only between time slots with the same booking status, i.e. the same colour. It is therefore not possible to select a white time slot and then, using the Shift key, a grey one. Only contiguous time slots with the same status can be selected.

Multiple selection is also available in the standard week. Here, the administrator first selects a time slot as usual using Ctrl and a mouse click, and then selects a further time slot whilst holding down the Shift key. Once several time slots have been selected, their status can be changed for the entire selection with a single click.

Multiple selection using the Shift key is available not only in the schedule and the standard week, but also in the additional standard week – the alternative configuration for specific periods, such as public holidays – as well as in the ‘Limits’ and ‘Slot Priorities’ sections.

This new feature significantly reduces the manual effort involved in maintaining availability. Time periods containing multiple time slots can be edited more quickly and clearly, making the management of the schedule simpler and more efficient overall.
