ROPA uses SLOT

ROPA Fahrzeug- und Maschinenbau GmbH, based in Sittelsdorf, manufactures machinery for sugar beet and potato harvesting. To optimize incoming goods processes and ensure the approximately three trucks processed daily without congestion, Cargoclix’s cloud-based time slot management system SLOT is now in operation at the central warehouse. The booking period for time slots begins 14 days before the desired date. Those wishing to book at short notice must do so by 6:30 a.m. the day before. Cargoclix charges 50 cents per booking. The costs are borne by the logistics service provider.

ROPA was founded in 1972 and employs approximately 500 people at its headquarters in Sittelsdorf. ROPA machines are used in over 40 countries worldwide. ROPA is considered the global market leader in sugar beet technology.
