- Efficient digitalisation of work processes within and between companies.
- Modular system for optimising yard management, security and visitor management as well as document management.
(Freiburg i.Br., 16 January 2025) At the Stuttgart logistics trade fair LogiMAT 2025 (11 to 13 March), the Freiburg-based software company Cargoclix (Hall 4, Stand 4F21) will be focusing on its workflow management system (WFM). The solution digitises workflows not only within companies, but also beyond their borders – between suppliers, service providers and customers. With a flexible modular approach, Cargoclix WFM enables customised solutions for the specific requirements of each location.
Cargoclix WFM offers its users a platform on which internal and cross-company processes can be efficiently organised. Typical areas of application include yard management with a real-time overview of ramp and car park occupancy, security and visitor management as well as document and container management. Specific tasks such as the sealing of containers, the management of load securing measures or the creation of digital checklists can also be mapped.
With its sequential approach, Cargoclix WFM guides users step by step through the work processes customised for the company. The next work step is only released once it has been completed – a mechanism that minimises errors and makes processes clear. All data can be seamlessly integrated into ERP systems and enable processes to be automated. The workflows are also suitable as a basis for company-specific AI integrations, as they provide structured data that can be used to train AI tools.
Modular Structure for Maximum Flexibility
Like all Cargoclix solutions, workflow management is modular and web-based. The software can be configured individually, allowing companies to digitise processes that were previously often handled manually or by email and were therefore very time-consuming. WFM also offers a collaboration platform on which suppliers can confirm consignments and logistics service providers can accept shipments – including the option of coordinating changes to appointments online. ‘With Cargoclix WFM, we offer companies an innovative tool that not only unlocks efficiency potential, but can also be an important first step towards the digitalisation of all processes,’ explains Victor Meier, consulting partner at Cargoclix.
In combination with other Cargoclix modules such as the SLOT time slot management system, the WFM realises its full potential. The solutions complement each other by enabling end-to-end digitalisation and automation of logistics processes.
New Functions for the SLOT Time Slot Management System
Cargoclix is also using LogiMAT to present a new extension to its SLOT time slot management system: ‘Dynamic SLOT’. This enables the automated adjustment of bookings – for example, based on the estimated time of arrival (ETA). Bookings for lorries can be flexibly postponed or brought forward, for example in the event of a traffic jam or full road closure. For prioritised bookings, specific rules can also be defined on how to proceed with a booked time slot in the event of a foreseeable delay. This function is also configured in a user-friendly way via the web interface. With over 160,000 SLOT users, the company is one of the providers with the widest reach in the industry.
SLOT is complemented by Cargoclix TENDER, a cloud-based platform for the global tendering of transport and logistics contracts. The intuitive operation, flexible pricing model and comprehensive network of freight forwarders make TENDER a helpful tool for shippers who want to handle their transport efficiently and cost-effectively and are looking for the right service provider.
Another important solution is the SAFE CHECK-IN module, which was developed during the coronavirus pandemic. It enables seamless communication between drivers and site managers. Automated messages are translated directly into the recipient’s native language, which considerably simplifies processes on site. The digital exchange and signing of freight documents is also possible.
Anyone using Cargoclix WFM in combination with the time slot management system and SAFE CHECK-IN will realise the full potential of the application. All solutions complement each other by enabling end-to-end digitalisation and automation of logistics processes.
