Spedition Gilles Introduces SLOT

The Gilles Internationale Spedition GmbH & Co. KG, based in Eilenburg, has been using the SLOT system from Cargoclix with immediate effect. The cloud-based software ensures that in the future up to ten trucks per day can be dispatched without waiting times. The booking costs of 50 cents per time slot are borne by the freight forwarder as the customer. Anyone wishing to book a time slot has the opportunity to do so seven days in advance. The system allows short-term bookings up to 6 p.m. the day before.

Gilles Internationale Spedition GmbH & Co.KG is a medium-sized, owner-managed company. Its range of services includes warehousing systems, the establishment of procurement and distribution networks, and the packaging and picking of goods. In addition to its headquarters in Eilenburg, the company operates a branch office in Triptis and employs a total of around 200 people.
