Humbaur Reduces Waiting Times for Truck Drivers with SLOT

Commercial vehicle manufacturer Humbaur, one of the world’s largest producers of trailers and vehicle bodies, has introduced the time slot management system SLOT from Cargoclix at its headquarters in Gersthofen near Augsburg. The cloud-based solution from the Freiburg-based system house supports the congestion-free dispatch of around 28 trucks in the outgoing goods department there every day.

There is no fixed date on which the booking period for time slots begins. Humbaur also makes short-term bookings possible for its logistics service providers, as long as they are made by 3 p.m. the day before. A fee of 50 cents is charged for booking a time slot. These are borne by the forwarding agents.

Humbaur is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of trailers and vehicle bodies. The product range of the owner-managed family company includes around 420 different trailer series models for commercial and private customers. 600 employees produce around 60,000 trailers per year. The products are distributed by more than 500 dealers in Germany and 26 European countries.
