Cargoclix Makes Data Protection Settings Personalizable

In accordance with the EU regulation on data protection, Cargoclix has further developed its system and now offers every Cargomarket owner the possibility to determine the retention period of the information contained in each booking data field in their own Cargomarket. In contrast to the already existing data protection settings, where only one generally valid total period can be introduced for the entire Cargomarket, with the new data protection settings it is possible to introduce different retention periods for different information data carriers. This is made possible by the tab “GDPR settings”. Only users with the CCX role “Admin” are able to manage the retention period.

In the new tab “GDPR settings” each admin will find a list of all booking data fields used in his own CargoMarket. He can define different retention periods for each individual field. All the admin has to do is to select the relevant booking data field and adjust the period. The smallest possible period is 90 days. After the customization, the admin has a second list with all the accounting data fields he has customized. This list contains not only the names of the booking data fields, but also the period adjusted for each field. If necessary, the admin can change not only the period but also the individual booking data fields at any time.
