Various additional modules are available for the cloud-based time slot management system SLOT. One of these modules generates the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) of a vehicle through telematics data of the truck via TIMOCOM. With the help of this function, ramp operators can see in the time slot booking in time if a truck will arrive at its destination earlier or later than planned and adjust the handling process if necessary. Every ten minutes, the tool retrieves the GPS location data of a truck and calculates the arrival time in the route planner. For data protection reasons, however, the truck’s position is not stored, but deleted immediately after the ETA calculation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to be able to test the numerous advantages of ETA and the telematics connection of the trucks via TIMOCOM live, Cargoclix is currently looking for location operators who already use SLOT and would like to display ETA in the time slot booking.
