In Ghent, Belgium, the SLOT system from Cargoclix is now in use at DFDS Seaways. The cloud-based software optimizes the congestion-free handling of five trucks a day – in the incoming goods department. The booking period for time slots already begins with a lead time of 120 days. Those who have a short-term need for a time slot can reserve it until 2 p.m. the day before. The booking costs of 50 cents per time window are borne by the logistics service providers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
